Do you believe music can help you to realize your higher potential?

I sat down to the piano one night, just before going to bed, and began to hear this music playing through my mind and my fingers.  It took me by surprise, beginning in strong, bold chords then spiraling and swirling into what felt like exquisite beauty and marvelous flow.

I followed the melody, from beginning to end. It is posted here as it came, from the first note to the last. There was nothing before and nothing after.  The music felt so complete, so whole, I marveled.

In those few minutes of sitting at the piano a transformation occurred. 

How did it happen? Before I decided to sit at the piano, my mind had been preoccupied in mundane tasks.

Who would expect to find a piece of Holiness waiting to pour through, had I not chosen to listen!

It is as though we have two minds that can lead us in two directions, to different worlds or realities: one is concerned with tasks like paying bills, doing laundry, writing letters, and one that opens beyond seeming “everyday reality” to access an exquisite flow of love, joy, comfort, blessedness.

Which mind and way of thinking is more real?

Which is more true?

The one we listen to?  The one we cultivate?

Can the two minds become one?

Each of us, in our uniqueness, are blessed with tools for cultivating and finding magic and blessing in life and in ourselves.

We learn more of who we truly are and can be.

In my daily life I aspire to allow this Larger Awareness to be like training wheels for the small mind, propping me up to access a greater reality and higher potential.

I ask myself daily, "Am I opening to receive what's available?  Am I seeing the higher possibility?

“Or am I consumed with 'nose to the grindstone,’ seeing only what has gone before, forgetting the power of love and inspiration that so easily transforms my experience of everyday life?”

I practice seeing this way each time I sit at the piano, opening to receive a bigger picture, making space for my questions to be answered. 



The magic that happens thereafter is as REAL as we allow it to be.

Music such as this can be like training wheels for our observant, receptive minds as we tune to what it speaks.

On Earth As It Is In Heaven ~ This is the message I feel in this music, of a greater potential ushering into the world as humanity taps into a Greater Awareness.
