We Learn From Music

Restoring Peace

emotional reboot

The music exemplifies peace in motion.

The music was created for the man whose sound portrait session brought 'Moonlight Water' (of the previous entry). This music followed immediately after Moonlight Water that day.

The improvisation evokes feelings and motions of peace.

The man responded to the music saying that, as it played, "I felt a tangle being unraveled and straightened out inside of me."

He felt that the music influenced him to feel "lighter, as though a weight was lifted from my heart."

The music had a dramatic effect for him, stimulating him to become more deeply aware of how he was feeling and had been feeling in recent days.

The music brought him through layers of self reflection and he arrived at a place of pulsing (thinking) more slowly, more deliberately, feeling in tune with the moment, clear in awareness, unified and integrated with himself, and (as he said) "straightened out."

This improvisation feels special to me among improvisations I have done as it feels unusually pure, clear, uplifting. It may also be grounding and restoring, refueling.

In today's bustling world bent on accelerated change, such  music can be settling and musically medicinal.

Such music can take us into a sense of the spirit which, no matter the state of the world, remains true and pure despite the hurried bustle of life.

Such music can become an emotional reboot, for getting on a new track.

"Unraveling," as the man said.  He felt "Love... Dignity... Composure... Grace...Inner Strength."

With such music we may imbue our lives with these qualities and undergo a sense of purification from the drudgeries of life, connected with a greater peace and harmony that lies within the universe, beyond simply grabbing a quiet moment.

Music can convey a sense of Enduring Peace; a peace that persists and is continual. A Peace of Longevity.  An abiding Peace of Constancy. Not intermittent or temporary.

Music can evoke a Peace of Constancy that would seem to be a universal truth beyond the constructs of temporal human convention.  The music speaks of Enduring Peace in which we can abide and become absorbed, in sync with a higher power in the universe beyond our everyday worries and concerns.

The holiday season approaches when we may feel more hurried than usual.

Music of this sort can support us to reclaim both the peace in ourselves and a transcendent Peace with which we are connected and aspire to know and own and abide within.  Bask in music such as this to plug in to that abiding Inner Peace.

As the holiday season overtakes us, we might navigate with a meaningful appreciation, gratitude and sympatico with life.

I heard words along with the music of; "You are loved. Let the love in."

You are Beloved. Find Peace in that Love that is continual and radiant through your beingness. Make decisions wisely with your time and energy and heed your inner voice.
